Personal data are freely communicated to LCT Consortium by the persons concerned by consenting to the processing and by taking note of the information displayed under the various forms. The data collected is adequate, useful, necessary and limited to the strict minimum.



This includes data :

  • personal data (identity, e-mail address, postal address, images),

  • professional data (CV, cover letter, university degrees, certificates of further qualification, language proficiency certificates),

 

 

What are the purposes of data collection?

The data collected through https://application.lct-master.org/, including application forms, CVs, identification documents (passport), previous degree certificates, transcripts of records, English exam certificates, and letters of recommendation, is used to evaluate applicants' eligibility and suitability for admission, ensuring a fair and thorough selection process. Additionally, aggregated and anonymized data is utilized for statistical purposes, such as analyzing application trends, enhancing program offerings, and promoting diversity and inclusivity.  

 

What is the legal basis for the processing carried out by this site?

 

The processing of your personal data by the LCT Consortium is based on :

 

  • Either on your consent in all cases where you yourself entrust your personal data to the LCT Consortium. 

  • The performance of a contract to which you are a party or the execution of pre-contractual measures taken at your request.  

  • Or to comply with a legal obligation, in particular with regard to the exercise of your rights under the RGPD and the Data Protection Act.

  • Or on the basis of legitimate interests pursued by the LCT Consortium.

 

 

Who are the recipients of the data processed by this site?

 

Your personal data is primarily intended for students’ selection by the LCT Consortium. It is processed by the staff of the universities of the LCT Consortium.


They are processed solely for the purposes indicated above. Your personal data is hosted exclusively in France by a subcontractor of our Service Provider (within the meaning of Article 4.8 of the RGPD) in a strictly controlled manner. They are never communicated to third parties for commercial purposes.

 

 

Is personal data transferred outside the European Union?

 

Personal data collected by this site is not transferred to actors located outside the European Union. In case of contractual transfer of personal data, the LCT Consortium ensures that the recipients are based in the European Union.

 

 

How is personal data processed by this site secured?

 

LCT Consortium is committed to protecting the personal data processed on this site in accordance with the state of the art.

 

The indications below are the main security measures to protect your personal data:

 

  • all the pages of the site are under the https protocol;

  • logging of connections;

  • user blocking when a hacking attempt is detected;

  • erasure of Personal Data is carried out at the request of the person concerned or at the end of the retention period;

  • the data is stored on data servers respecting the maximum technical security.

 

 

How long will personal data processed by this site be kept?

The personal data will be stored for 5 years, even if the applicant is not accepted. In case the applicant gets accepted, the data will be stored for 10 years and it can/will be transferred to the EACEA. 

The LCT consortium through its coordinator – Saarland University - collects and processes the personal data of the applicants. Certain data of the applicants is shared with the European Education and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA) through the EACEA Mobility Tool and treated according to the following privacy statement

 

Does this site use cookies?
